Insect

The book "Insects" is a document about the preparation and course of the film's shooting. The introduction was written by František Dryje, a member of the Prague Surrealist Group and a long-time friend of Jan Švankmajer.

It also contains an article by Jan Bernard, a film critic, which he published in the film magazine "Film a doba" in spring 2018 for the premiere in Prague.

In addition to the basic ideas, preface, film story, processing, preliminary notes, and Jan Švankmajer's diary, the book also contains production and technical information. It also lists the actors and film crew, members of the film production company "Athanor", and many photographs.

The book is published in a Czech-English version.
