TEMPLE closes the year with the symbolic meeting of four pivotal figures of Czech sculpture - Gebauer, Hendrych, Švankmajer and Zeithamml in an exhibition shaped by times when artistic freedom narrowed under the weight of ideology.
Bringing these four distinctive artists together in one place offers a unique insight into the development of Czech sculpture over the past sixty years.
Temple is a place where technical craftsmanship transforms into an existential statement, where sculpture reveals itself as an art of “body and soul”, tangible and physical, yet silent, inward, and deeply human.
